Dear Parents,
This will be my last newsletter this year and would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for being so supportive. The students and I enjoyed having so many of you come into our classroom to listen to students read, help them write in their photo journals, aid in the creation of special projects, chaperone our field trips, volunteer to bring in items for our various celebrations, and the list goes on and on. Many of you have become more than just parents of my students, you’ve become friends! A very, very special thanks to our room moms: Cheryl Brandt, Cheryl Keller and Kelly Miley. They have gone “above and beyond” to help make this year a special one for your child. They helped make this year very special!
Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Cohen for those fabulous bookcases! It felt like Christmas! Finally, I can arrange my room and have a place to put all my “stuff”!
This week students will complete their special Father’s Day gift. They are creating this along with their book buddies. Happy Father’s Day, Dads! Wish you all could have heard the wonderful thoughts your child shared about their loving dads for Show & Tell last week!
Please note: Our Pizza Party will be held this Tuesday instead of Wednesday. It isn’t until 2:00 in the afternoon, so be SURE to send a lunch with your child!
Also, our Ice Cream Sundae Party will be held on Thursday, not Friday.
I am trying to make the last few days of school fun ones! Therefore, please remember to take a look at the “agenda” I sent home on Friday for a week full of fun!
I truly couldn’t be prouder of this class’s accomplishments. Your children have done such a great job this year! I will miss them all! Thank you all for sharing your children with me. I have become very attached to each one and have shared in their joy and excitement as they learned, grew and matured in grade one. I will miss each and every one of them!
Parents, if there is any way I can ever be of assistance to you or your child in the future, PLEASE do not hesitate to contact me. Just because they move on, they will be forever close in my heart!!!
I wish you all a very safe and happy summer! Thank you all again for all your help and support.
Kids--- read, read, read this summer! And, don’t forget to practice your math facts! J
Hope you will send me a postcard or email me with updates on how you and your child are doing this summer!
Best of Luck in Grade Two!
I will miss you all!
