**STUDY YOUR NOTES DAILY FROM CLASS**

Monday-September 8th-

You will have a Quiz tomorrow on:

-Who is Mother Teresa?--She was a kind person, who dedicated her life to charity and helping the needy

-Who is Winston Churchill? A political figure who inspired the public with his speeches and leadership

-The 4 scoring points of Persuasive Writing

    O-Organization-5 paragraphs

    A-Audience

    T-Transitional Language

    S-Specific Details

-Unity- togetherness/needs to connect to the topic of each paragraph

-Coherence-Order/all of the sentences must go in an order to make sense.

-Audience-connect with your audience and be aware of the concerns they might have. Your topics should come from the audience!

-Brainstorming-taking the time to map out a plan before a project or paper

-Enthusiasm-having the energy to complete a task

-Success- having the confidence to reach your goals

5. Create a word wall for the word HOMEWORK!

6. If you had to draw a picture to go on the front cover of the newspaper what would it look like? You may draw or write your answer!
