Welcome to First Grade!

Room 2 News!

Monday

 Memorial Day

Tuesday

We did a lot of work today.  First, we did our Weekend Updates.   Then, we did our work stations.  We had Library.  After recess, we practiced number grid patterns.  Then we started researching animals for our reports.  At the end of the day, we read some new books.

Wednesday

Field Day!

Thursday

We played Mind Reader.  Then we did magic boards.  After that, we wrote poems about trees.  We did a great job!  Then we did work stations.  We had Art.  In the afternoon, we celebrated Abby's birthday.  Then we learned how to add and subtract by 10's and 20's.  Mrs. Vogel came in to read to us.  At the end of the day, we had Spanish.

Friday

We played Sparkle this morning!  We did three work stations!  We also saw a play about Harriet Tubman.  We had P.E.  In the afternoon, we finished did our last plant observation and showed each other our plants.  Then we had our class meeting.  We even earned our extra recess.  It was a nice day!

*A Note From Mrs. Rose *

I cannot believe that our school year is starting to wind down.!  We are wrapping up many exciting units.  Please check out our plant webquest at home.  The link is at the bottom of my schoolnotes page.  One new project we are working on is a study of animals and nonfiction texts.  Every child will be researching an animal and creating their own nonfiction text to share what they've learned.  Be sure to ask your child how their research is going!  Have a great weekend!
