Teacher Appreciation week was May 4th to 8th. On Thursday, May 7th, the PTA hosted a Teacher Appreciation Breakfast for all Teachers and Staff. We would like to thank Randy's Wooster Street Pizza for the breakfast pizzas they provided; Dunkin Donuts for the giant pot of coffee, cups, sugar, etc.; and CarpetWorks so we could "Roll out the Red Carpet" for our staff. These merchants all helped to support the PTA's efforts as we gave them a great breakfast, complete with balloons!!
We'd especially like to thank all the students who filled out certificates of appreciation for their teachers and school staff. Here's the "Top 15" list of reasons your kids appreciate their teachers, in no particular order:
1. For being the best man he could be. 2. Trying her best every day! 3. You stood strong with me. 4. Not only a good teacher but a good friend. 5. Not giving up on me. 6. Always being happy and making the class laugh with his singing voice. 7. Thank you for going to my football game. 8. Helping us to learn boldness, confidence, work ethic, and to sing better. 9. Makes me throw away my gum EVERY day, but he's nice.10. For having enough patience to deal with me when I'm not behaving.11. You are my role model I needed to make it through the school year.12. She's not fake.13. Your amazing teacher-ness.14. Being the coolest social studies nerd alive.15. I am proud to be there.
At our March PTA meeting, Mr. Ruth gave a presentation on an Educational Life Plan. Even though it starts at Kindergarten, you can start using this at any time in your child's education. National PTA Launches Online Video Store - as seen on ABC News
PTA, in conjunction with HP, has launched a first-of-its-kind national video service that allows families to access and purchase age-appropriate digital content in a safe and secure online environment. Created and managed by Harmony Digital Media Consortium, with the support of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), the PTA Video Store allows families to make informed media choices by helping parents manage their children's exposure to electronic media.
