Waddell is a great place to learn!
The simple truth is, children do benefit from parent and community involvement in their development. No matter how much or how little time you have, your contribution matters.
Research shows that when parents are involved, students achieve more. The most accurate predictor of a student's achievement in school is not income or social status, but the extent to which that student's family is able to:
v Create a home environment that encourages learning and nurturing.
v Create high, yet reasonable, expectations for their children's achievement and future career.
v Develop knowledge of how their children function in the school environment by becoming involved in their children's education at school and in the community.
This involvement is essential for the positive emotional and social development, cultural growth, and academic achievement of every child.
