Happy New Year! Thank you very much to room 28 for my very special holiday gift! I had lots of fun spending it!!! Thank you Mrs. Steinman for organizing our holiday party!
Reading
Currently, we are working on identifying the author's structure or organization of the text!
Math
We are currently starting Unit 7 on multiplication and division!!!
Writing
We have been working hard on writing with a great main event in our stories and working on editing and revising CMT sample questions!
Science & Social Studies (Science and Social Studies off-set each other year long.)
Science: Students will study both Rocks & Minerals and Plants & Soils this year through inquiry-based lessons.
Social Studies: We started reading Communities Change and we are coding the text while we read.

There will be weekly Spelling tests every Friday!
Connecticut Mastery Test
Students will take the CMT in March, 2009. The skills and strategies required to succeed on this test will be integrated into daily instruction and practice at home!
