June 2008
Dear Parents and/or Guardians,
Is it really time to say good-bye? I can’t even begin to describe the mixed emotions I have thinking about ending this school year. As you all know, it was my first full year of teaching, and it could not have been better. Your children have all been extremely kind, helpful, patient, and such inspirations in everything we’ve done this year. I know for some of you, this is your last child here at PRS and you’re counting down the days, and others can’t believe your first born is done with elementary school. However you feel, please know how much I am thankful to all of you for your support this year. You allowed me to take risks with your children and try every strategy in the book to support them this year. I have loved every minute (even the crazy ones) with your children. I know that they will all do very well in middle school next year.
So, thank you to all who volunteered and helped with our many 5th grade activities this year. Thank you to all of you that spent your time reading, writing, editing, and doing math reflections with your children. It’s been an incredible journey with your kids, and I tell them all the time that they will forever remain special in my heart because they were my first “real” class (as they say).
I also wanted to tell you that I am officially moving to Pleasant Valley to teach 4th grade. I’ve spent a couple years waiting for a permanent position to come along and am very excited about this move. I hope you all have a great summer; please keep in touch!!
Kindly,
Jenn Curtis
