HOMEWORK:  Students have written / typed the rough drafts of their persuasive essays.  The final (typed) draft is due tomorrow (Tuesday 4/21).  RUBRIC IS ATTACHED

IN CLASS:  Students are reading different books in assigned groups.  Each group reads and works on journal entries in class.  These journals will be graded.  Each student has a typed lesson plan that he / she is using during class.  They have the questions on them.  Please check your student's work.

ENGLISH PROJECT:  DUE ON FRIDAY (5/8).  Each reading group has a project based on its book.  These projects need to be worked on during flex and at home.  They will not have time during class.  Each group has received directions / questions for the assignment. 

GRADES:  Essays have been returned to students.  Please ask your student for his / her grade.  REWRITES are due on Thursday.

QUIZ:  There will be a quiz on World War 1 tomorrow.  Students have notes that they need to study.  They had activities in class to help them remember this information.  They will have a QUIZ on World War 2 on Wednesday.  They may use their notes for this quiz. 

IN CLASS:  After the quizzes, students will begin their books about the Holocaust. 

PROGRESS REPORTS - These grades are inflated for most students.  They reflect only 3 grades so far this quarter, one being a discussion grade.

HOMEWORK:  The students began their last essay in class.  Time was given to write their introductions.  They need to complete their introductions for homework and TYPE them.   

They have a lined graphic organizer that outlines needed parts.

HOMEWORK:  6/2  The students spent half the period working on their 1st body paragraph.  They need to finish it in flex and type it for homework.

HOMEWORK:  6/3  Many students were able to finish their 2nd body paragraphs today during class and flex.  They need to type it at home tonight.  Tomorrow they will write their conclusions.  The typed rough draft will be due on Friday.  The final draft will be due on Monday. 

HOMEWORK:  6/4 Students need to complete their conclusions today and type them.  Typed ROUGH DRAFT is due tomorrow.  We will be editing it in class.  FINAL DRAFT due on Monday.
