We'll continue reading Harper Lee's classic novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, a challenging story with timeless themes. Students are encouraged to refer to the explanations of the author's many allusions and idioms that occur throughout the book. Though we will have daily class discussions and homework based on TKAM, extra help is always available.
B block:
This class is finishing up the pilot literature unit on Perspectives.
All LA classes:
We're following a small group of students at "Horribly Hard Middle School" while sharpening up editing skills.
CMT practice will be ongoing, including showing your best reading comprehension and writing skills while responding to open ended questions.
