Welcome to Mrs. Esposito's SchoolNotes!!

1 thru 2nd Grades:  Students will be using the computer for subject reinforcement using various programs.

3rd Grade: Students will be using "Print Shop Deluxe" to create various projects and to learn the principle of "Cut & Paste" editing. The students have also started to learn the "Home Row" for typing and should be encouraged to use this method at home.

4th Grade: Students will start by reviewing "Print Shop Deluxe" and will move into Microsoft PowerPoint. They will learn editing tools and Typing Rules.

7th Grade Class Work:  The students will be learning tables and spreadsheets.  They will be using MS Word and MS Excel.  They will learn how to manage cells for use in mathematical formula for some basic accounting.  The first class of each week the students are responsible for a technology article (not to come from any school sources).  The article should not be older than 6 months.  It may come from a newspaper, Internet news source, or a magazine, but not from source such as "How Stuff Works."

We will also have discussions about Internet safety and "netiquette."  This is a subject that should also be discuss at home.

Remember to use the

"Home Row" when using the computer

Don't forget to "Surf Safe"
