Thank you very much for your cooperation and support in providing a fun-filled and successful "Field Day" for the children. It was not an easy task to entertain 41 second graders within the confines of the classroom and school building. You willingly did everything asked of you - supervised, improvised, entertained, and participated - and with a smile. Mrs. Mintel and Mrs. Estes, our class mothers, served breakfast,lunch and dessert and and I am grateful to them once again for all that they did for the children.
On Thursday, May 29, 2008, our second grade children will participate in the May Crowning at 1:30 in the church. The children are asked to wear their First Communion outfits or something dressy for the occasion. The children can wear the outfit to school that day instead of the school uniform, or bring the Communion outfit and change clothes after lunch. Parents are welcome to come to school at 12:20 to assist the children, if you wish to do so. Children will not be on the playground after lunch for recess on that day. All children need to be ready by 12:45 so that we have an opportunity for photographs before the service. After the service, children can change clothes or be dismissed in the Communion outfits. If you have any questions, please see me at dismissal on Wednesday.
