English 1H:
On Monday, Nov. 9: Nothing is due.
On Tuesday, Nov. 10: Study for the vocab test (see the two review sheets).
On Wednesday, Nov. 11:Study for the vocab test (see the two review sheets).
On Thursday, Nov. 12: We will have our Vocab Test on Lessons 1-4.
On Monday, Nov. 16: Nothing is due.
On Tuesday, Nov. 17: Turn in your outline for your paragraph on "The Weapon."
On Wednesday, Nov. 18: Nothing is due.
On Thursday, Nov. 19: the finished paragraph on "The Weapon" is due. We will begin reviewing for the poetry test. The test will be given in two parts. Monday, Nov. 23, will be on the terms and Tuesday, Nov. 24, will be on the poems that we read in class.
English 2AC:
Vocab Lesson 4 sentences will be due on Monday, Nov. 9.
Due Tuesday, Nov. 10: Quiz on "The Sniper." This story can be found online at www.classicstories.com.
Due Wednesday, Nov. 11: Quiz on "Eveline." This story can be found online at www,readprint.com.
Vocab Lesson 4 Quiz will be on Friday, Nov. 13.
Over the weekend, begin to study for the Vocab Test on Lessons 1-4. The test will be on Monday, Nov. 23.
English 4AP:
Due Tuesday, Nov. 10: Write a paraphrase (a summary in your own words) of the poem that your group was assigned. See email for directions. This will count as a quiz grade.
On Tuesday, Nov. 17: Bring Othello with you to class.
The essay on The House on Mango Street and "Eveline" is due either Tuesday (01/02) for 5 bonus points or Wednesday (01) and Thursday, (02). this essay counts as a test grade.
On Friday, Nov. 20, we will have Part I of the Poetry Test. This part will include the terms. I will give you the definition and you must write the term There will be no word bank There will also be multiple choice questions on a poem that you have not read before.
On Monday, Nov. 21, we will have Part II of the Poetry Test. This part will be on the poems that we discussed together in class.
