(Shakes.): Compare the Richard from the play to the Richard from the film. How does seeing Richard III portrayed enhance or change him as a character. Your response should be one paragraph of at least 8 sentences due Thursday, November 5th.

(Shakes.) Shakespeare Essay Assignment
“And thus I clothe my naked villainy / With odd old ends stol’n forth of holy writ, / And seem a saint when most I play the devil” (Richard III, I, iii, 336-338).
In Richard III, Richard is a character who is most adept at deceiving others. In paradoxical fashion, however, he quite often openly confesses his misdeeds. However, he is able to use his mannerisms and speeches to convince others that he was either acting because of love for them or on their behalves.
In a 4 paragraph essay (1 introduction, 2 body paragraphs, 1 conclusion), choose two characters who are betrayed by Richard and discuss the method Richard uses to deceive them. Be sure to include specific examples or quotes from the text. You must cite your examples in the text and provide a words cited page. The essay must follow MLA format. This will count as a test grade and will be due at the end of the class period on Friday.

Writing: Complete pages 9-12 of the grammar workbook. Create a thesis statement and bubble clusters for each of the following topics: friendship, homework, and time management (using your time effectively and wisely)
Senior Regulars: Complete Vocabulary lesson nine, exercises A and B for words 1-10. Use each word in a sentence and hand in.
Shakespeare: Finish reading Act I of Richard III and summarize the act. Summary must be at least 150 words.
Yearbook: Finish stories for first spread and organize the rest of the senior surveys. Editors should finish templates and senior activities section. Be prepared to put pages together tomorrow.

Beowulf through Art – individual
1. Students will create a power point of 10 slides.
2. Power point must include a title slide, and introduction, 6 content slides, a conclusion and a Works Cited slide (works cited will be for the textbook and any outside research on the artworks).
3. For the content slides, slides must include an image, and then description of the theme and how it is portrayed in the painting, sculpture, etc. Slide must include examples from the text.
4. Each student presentation will be at least 10 minutes. Students will be graded on content knowledge and presentation skills.

Once you have your result, and you have looked at the percentages, write at least 200 words describing your personality type as indicated by the test and whether or not you believe that it is an accurate description.
