UC Blankets are now on sale!!!!

This sale is being sponsored by the Parent/Athletic Board. The cost of a blanket is $40 and you can place your order by calling 908-889-1621.

Spring Athletic Banquet

The Spring Athletic Banquet will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the Westwood located on South Ave. in Garwood. The cost of a ticket is $25 per person. For additional information or to reserve a ticket you can call the athletic office at 908-889-1621 or email reagan@unioncatholic.org the final day of ticket sales is Friday, May 16th.

DIRECTIONS:

Golf @ Ash Brook: Turn right out of the school parking lot and continue to the first traffic light and turn right onto Raritan Road. Go about 1/2 mile and the road changes to Terrill Rd. Raritan Rd goes to the left, get onto Raritan Road by making the left (follow signs for Ash Brook golf course) and the golf course is on the left off of Raritan Road.

Lacrosse @ New Providence HS: Take Martine Ave. and head towards route 22. Just before route 22 make a left (follow the signs for route 78). This will take you on an overpass over route 22. Continue straight through the traffic light. You are now on Diamond Hill Road. Take Diamond Hill to Mountain Ave. (about 4 miles). Turn right on Mountain Ave. Continue about 1 or 2 miles to South St. and turn left. Take South St. to High St. and turn left. Continue to Pioneer Dr. and New Providence HS is located on Pioneer Dr.

SPORTS:

In order to try out for a sports team you must have the following information on file in the athletic office:

1. A physical form less then one year old signed by your doctor. You MUST use the school's physical form (it is suggested that you make a copy for your records)

2. A Health History form signed by the parent/guardian

3. A permission form signed by the parent/guardian

4. A consent to random testing form (for steroids) signed by the parent/guardian

5. A paid participation fee ($60 for each sport you participate in) checks can be made payable to Union Catholic High School

The sports which are offered this Spring include:

1. Baseball

2. Golf

3. Girls Lacrosse

4. Softball

5. Boys Tennis

6. Spring Track (Boy's & Girl's)

Atention Student Athletes: The NCAA Clearinghouse has announced changes in course requirements for eligibility. Class of 2008 and beyond will need 16 core courses. Find out more on the web at www.ncaa.org
