Spring Athletic Banquet

The Spring Athletic Banquet will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the Westwood located on South Ave. in Garwood.  The cost of a ticket is $25 per person.  For additional information or to reserve a ticket you can call the athletic office at 908-889-1621 or email reagan@unioncatholic.org the final day of ticket sales is Friday, May 16th.

Varsity & JV Baseball @ Governor Livingston:  Take Martine Ave. and head towards route 22.  Just before route 22 make a left (follow the signs for route 78).  This will take you on an overpass over route 22.  Continue straight through the traffic light.  You are now on Diamond Hill Road.  Take Diamond Hill to Mountain Ave. (about 4 miles).  Turn right on Mountain Ave.  Continue about 1 or 2 miles to Murray Hill Boulevard and turn right (there is a small sign at this intersection for Governor Livingston HS).  The school is located on  the top of the hill at Watchung Boulevard. 

JV Softball @ Jerseyland Field in Scotch Plains:  Turn left out of the school parking lot and continue on Martine Ave. going over the railroad bridge.  After the bridge turn right at the 1st traffic light onto North Ave.  After the  stop sign make the 1st left onto Morse Ave.  At the 2nd stop sign turn left onto Plainfield Ave.  Continue for 3 or 4 blocks to Beryllium Road and turn left.  At the end of Beryllium Road is a parking lot on the left.  Jerseyland field is located behind the parking lot. .

Tennis @ Oratory Prep in Summig: Take Martine Ave. towards Route 22 (it becomes Park Ave.) continue to Pantagis/Snuffy's Restaurant and turn left and go over Route 22 to the traffic light. At light continue straight up Diamond Hill Road. Go 3 more lights to Mountain Ave. Make a right onto Mountain Ave.  Take Mountain Ave. into Summit.  When you get to Morris Ave. turn left.(You will see Overlook Hospital and you will now travel away from it)  Oratory Prep is on the right hand side about 2 or 3.

Golf @ Ash Brook Golf Course:  Turn right out of the school parking lot and continue to the first traffic light and turn right onto Raritan Road.  Go about 1/2 mile and the road changes to Terrill Rd.  Raritan Rd goes to the left, get onto Raritan Road by making the left (follow signs for Ash Brook  golf course) and the golf course is on the left off of Raritan Road.

SPORTS:

In order to try out for a sports team you must have the following information on file in the athletic office:

    1. A physical form less then one year old signed by your doctor.  You MUST use the school's physical form (it is suggested that you make a copy for your records)

    2. A Health History form signed by the parent/guardian
