Classwork (ie. worksheets)
Use of Time
Effort
Protocol
Artwork

Materials Reminder
Sketchbook $5
Portfolio Case $3
Both of the above can be purchased in school book store on the 2nd floor. Portfolio case must remain in class. Sketchbook must be with you each day. You have the option to store your sketchbook in your portfolio case, keeping in the classroom each day.

Laptop Reminder
It's important you bring your laptop to class each day. You'll need to research subject matter, ideas and concepts for some of your projects.

Beginning Art
• Perspective: Falling or Flying - Use one point perspective to create an image from the point of view of someone who is flying or falling over skyscrapers. You can vary your subject shapes to change the outcome of this lesson into an abstract work of art.
• Unified Hand learning to create a unified picture - You will use your very own hand as the template to begin this project. With a few simple rules, the rest is up to your imagination!
• Independent Art Project - If you have completed all of the assigned projects, you can begin your own independent art project. Use the time to improve a specific technique or to explore something new.

Intermediate Art
• Shoe Trilogy learn how to design and construct your favorite shoe/sneaker using a three step process. Using your actual shoe as a prototype - you will draw it and create pattern pieces from your drawing to then construct it into  a two-dimensional piece of art
.
•  Helmet Design from football to warfare to bikers, helmets have protected the domes of millions of people. the average joe doesn't really need to wear a helmet, but you're going to create one for them - You'll chose a group of people and design a helmet using objects, thoughts and ideas which revolve around that specific group of people.
• Independent Art Project - If you have completed all of the assigned projects, you can begin your own independent art project. Use the time to improve a specific technique or to explore something new.

Graphics and Design
• Design your life mascot - Who or what would you like to stand behind in your life after high school once you leave the Viking behind...but note you never truly leave the Viking!
• Design a CD cover (front & back) - Choose an existing band OR create a new band and re-design/design the album cover.

Advanced Art
