Mr. Haines
6th, 7th & 8th Grade Social Studies

Mission Statement

My mission is to assist every student to develop a positive self-esteem that will give them the confidence to believe in themselves and do the best that they can do.  I will create an environment of trust and respect where every child can successfully attain the expectations established in the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards and that will provide opportunities to develop positive interpersonal relationship skills.

PARENT INFORMATION
This week, the 7th and 8th grade will be testing.  Next week, the 6th grade will test.  This will have an impact on our schedule and the students will not see every teacher every day.  I will not see the 7th grade for those 2 weeks, except for Fridays.  They will be given work to complete.

Students will not receive Learning Logs this marking period.

Please note:  All work is due by the following Monday to receive any credit.  After that day no credit will be given for the missing assignments.

Students will receive 5 extra points on every homework assignment that is turned in the day after it is assigned.  It must be placed in the "Early Bird Special" folder on the filing cabinet in my room.

Students may earn 5 extra credit points every week by answering the "Geo-Genius" question for the week.  Encourage your child to become geographically aware.

We collect BOX TOPS for EDUCATION.  Please save and send them into school.  The proceeds from these go to our camping experiences.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please contact me at 465-1834, voice mail 716, or use the e-mail address provided here.

Please email me if you have any concerns.
