Welcome Back!!

Sacred Heart Private School provides access to the internet throughout the school. The school is equipped with wireless access in all the classrooms. In the technology center the students (K-8) are introduced to Windows and Microsoft Office. Power Point computer instruction reinforces and integrates with the core curriculum. Students are introduced to drawing, keyboarding, interactive storytelling and word processing. Ongoing projects encourage the students to explore and develop critical thinking with the use of various resources.

An Acceptable Use Policy is a contract that exists between the school, the student user, and the student’s parents. It clearly defines the rules for Internet access and the consequences for irresponsible use. Parents and children must sign the Acceptable Use Agreement before students will be able to use the Internet.

My Rules for Online Safety:
  • I will not give out personal information about me or my family.
  • I will tell my parents right away if I come across any information that makes me feel uncomfortable.
  • I will never agree to get together with someone I "meet" online without first checking with my parents.
  • I will never send a person my picture or anything else without first checking with my parents.
  • I will not respond to any messages that are mean or in any way make me feel uncomfortable.
  • I will talk with my parents so that we can set up rules for going online. We will decide upon the time of day that I can be online, the length of time I can be online, and appropriate areas for me to visit
