Halloween was so much fun!! Thank you to all who contributed to help make our party a success.
We are getting ready for Thanksgiving with a unit on Native Americans and Pilgrims.We have had so much fun making toilet paper tipis, marshmallow igloos, ceremonial masks and totem poles. We have learned so much about the first Americans and are excited to learn about the Pilgrims as well. We have read a funny story called Run,Turkey,Run about a turkey trying to avoid becoming dinner. Please help your child disguise his/her turkey that will be sent home. We look forward to our Thanksgiving feast and spending time with our families. Remember the Stokes Food Drive is underway.
We have completed our second reading unit. Keep practicing sight word cards and read everyday to strengthen skills. We will be starting book in a bag after Thanksgiving. Your child can read to you or with you depending on their book and level.
There is so much to learn and look forward to this year. We can't wait!!
