On Wednesday (10/1) we will have a quiz on the 4 characteristics we have focused on in class of Democrats and Republicans. The quiz will also include the 5 vocabulary words from Section 21 - 2. There words are: patronage, precincts, split ticket voting, straight ticket voting, and independent voters. This information is in their class notes. (SOL 5.b)
On Thursday (10/2), we will have a vocabulary quiz of all the words from Chapter 21.
The study guide for Chapter 21 will come home to be finished as homework on Wednesday or Thursday. We will play a review game in class (Search and Destroy) to prepare for the test.
On Friday (10/3), the students will turn in their study guides for a homework grade. The chapter test will be given on this day. Students need to study each night to be ready for this test. They are responsible for lots of information and extra vocabulary words in this chapter.
On Monday (10/6), the first six weeks ends. The students will have a cumulative six weeks test. I will pay close attention to the students that have difficulty recalling information from the first six weeks. I will compare the results of each grading period and may contact you about after school tutoring if I see a need before state testing in the spring.
