Typically, students will have one vocabulary quiz and
one test during each two week health rotation, along with various assignments.
Health books are available for check out from the Media Center.
Things you need to know:
1. Respect is what will guide our class. Respect others, respect Mrs. Moore, respect other’s property, rights and feelings, and most of all, respect yourself!
2. No student has the right to keep another student from learning.
3. Team rules apply in my classroom as well.
4. Assigned work should be turned in on time.
5. Water is allowed. No other drinks will be allowed. No gum!
Your Responsibilities
1. Be respectful.
2. Come to class on time and enter classroom in an orderly manner.
3. Begin your warm-up immediately. Do not wait for Mrs. Moore to tell you to start. This is an expected responsibility, not a choice!
4. Come to class prepared (students will not be allowed to return to their locker to retrieve forgotten materials).

5. Head papers correctly.
a. First and last name, date and period in the upper right hand corner of your paper.

6. Enter class with a positive attitude.
7. Ask for any make-up work. This is YOUR responsibility.

Picture day is Tuesday, September 8 and children will not dress out for their first day of Physical Education. They will begin to dress out Wednesday, Sept 9.

WMMS PE Uniforms/WMMS attire (unless students have PE uniforms from another school) will be required for Physical Education as of Oct 1. Points will be reduced if appropriate uniforms are not worn.
The kids did a great job in PE this rotation. They had a week of volleyball and then we focused on fitness testing...pacer and 1/2 mile. Many of the kids improved their pacer score from the first assessment.
As grades are posted, remember that you will not see a clear picture until we have completed one full rotation of PE and one full rotation of health.

We are moving into Mental and Emotional Health (Chapters 3 & 4). Standard Course of Study goal topics will include depression and suicide.
