I am very excited to be starting the second half of the 2007-08 school year. There is alot of ability and potential in this class of children.
We will begin the third grading period with a focus on Force and Motion in Science. This will be a very exciting unit of study with many hands-on lessons as we explore simple machines and energy.
Our History studies will continue with the colonial period and the Revolutionary War.
Spelling homework will be assigned as follows:
Monday: spelling words 3x each.
Tuesday: spelling sentences (1-10)
Wednesday: spelling sentences (11-20)
Thursday: study for test on Fri.
All of the children have been doing well with their Accelerated Reader accounts. Our class average is over 80 percent, which is terrific!
Remember to read every night for 20 minutes.
