Welcome!!
We begin the 4th quarter of the school year excited about how much we have learned and how much more we will learn.
In reading we continue to work on fluency and story retelling .Continue to read to your child and to listen to them and ask questions about what they read.
In spelling we begin the last 25 words to be able to spell. read and write correctly! We are on our way to 100 words we can read, write and spell.
In math we will continue to develop number sense for numbers to 100, problem solve using time and the calendar, tell time to the hour and half hour, and measure using non-standard units.
In social studies your child will learn about the symbols of our country, needs and wants and community helpers.
In science we will study insects, seeds and plants.
Important dates: Field trip to Dan Nicholas on May1st for a study of animals. End of the year party will also be in May. Teacher workday on May 6th and a holiday on May 26.
