At this time we have just about completed the Human Body Systems. We will be presenting our slide shows the week of Dec. 17-20. The trip to Discovery Place was a great addition to the unit. So many of the students have commented that they really enjoyed and that it gave them a much better understanding of the system being able to see it for real. As teachers, we had an extremly good time also. Just seeing their faces light up when seeing some of the exhibits was a wonderful experience.
When we return after Christmas, we will begin studying cells and work our way into heredity. With this unit we will have a DNA project also. I will be updating the informatioin and giving a specific date later. I look forward to this project after seeing so many good HBS projects.
