Our fifth grade reading class is hard at work. We are beginning our first vocabulary stem unit. Our study includes learning the meaning of stems in addition to learning new words to add to our vocabulary. We have some rare and unusual words! (Our first vocabulary test is coming soon. Be sure to check the list of important dates below.) We are enjoying our vocabulary study as we write, illustrate, and even play charades with our word list.
Daily Language, Word Games, and much more are also components of our reading class. We are reading the novel Summer of the Monkeys by Wilson Rawls. What a wonderful book!

Our fifth grade Math class is hard at work on Numeration. Weekly Logic Problems, Problem Solving Sheets, Weekly Math Reviews, and Accelerated Math are also important class activities.
Attention Fifth Graders: Don't Forget To:
