Algebra I and Geometry are EOC classes, where students must receive a 3 or 4 on the EOC to receive credit for the course. All students must pass Algebra I to graduate. Geometry is not a requirement unless students are planning on attending a 4 year university. I don't recommend sophomores "doubling up" with Geometry and Algebra II the same year.
In Algebra I, students will take a test on square roots and formulas Friday, December 14th. We will then work on matrices and rational expresssions. After christmas, students will review for the EOC.
In Geometry, students are taking an open notes test on Chapter 11 due Friday, December 14th. We will then begin working on chapters 12 adn 13, Surface Area and Volume of Solids. After Christmas, students will review for the EOC.
