Just a note that all students have weekly DOL quizzes. These are basic grammar quizzes. Students should be writing these the night before the quiz. I will give the students that do an extra five point on the quiz the following day.
All students should have a novel of their choice that they are to be reading on their own time throughout the year. We will be having book projects on these novels. They are not allowed to read a novel that has a movie on it. Also included in this is a one and a two page summary. They will turn in the one page summary half way through the novel and the two page upon completion. This ensures that the students are actually reading the novels.
