The eighth grade students will take the NC Online Test of Computer Skills before Winter Vacation.
Students should make every effort to pass this test since it is a graduation requirement in NC.
Eighth Grade classes will be coming to the computer labs beginning September 15.
September 15-19 Mrs. Mills' and Mr. Trotter's Social Studies classes learned about NC Counties using the database application.
September 22-26 Mrs. A. Miller's and Mr. Barringer's math classes created, modified, and edited spreadsheets.
Students also composed and
entered formulas in spreadsheets.
Using a spreadsheet is just one of the many
fun ways to learn math.

Attention Parents and Students:
Each eighth grade student must score 150 or higher in order to pass the test. Students who do not pass the first semester test administration willl be tested again before the end of the school year. Students who do not pass first semester will be invited to attend Saturday morning computer remediation four Saturday mornings during second semester. Passing this test is one of the high school graduation requirements in North Carolina.
