The goal of this webpage is to provide students and parents with information about upcoming tests or projects for CP Earth/ Environmental Science or AP Environmental Science. If you have any questions, feel free to call me at (704) 855-7297 after school or send me an e-mail. I will respond to your call or e-mail as soon as possible. It is absolutely essential that students maintain good attendance, in order to be successful in school. It is primarily the student's responsibility to inquire about work they missed. Any work missed because of an absence must be made up and turned in no later than two days after a one-day absence. This includes assignments, labs, quizzes and tests. Work not made up within the appropriate period of time will earn a zero.Mr. Moore may make allowances for students who are hospitalized (bring in a note from the doctor), etc.
Extra-credit opportunities 1) At the beginning of every class period, students will be asked to respond to a short question relating to a major topic from the previous day's lesson or the homework assigned the night before. The question(s) will be shown for a short time, and students who answer the question correctly will earn one or two points. Near the end of the quarter, all of the points earned may be added to improve a lab, quiz or test grade. Bell-Ringer points will only be available to students who are on time for class. Students that are tardy or absent will forfeit their opportunity for the extra credit for that day.
2) Each quarter a student will have an opportunity to complete a short mini-project*. The grade earned for the project will be used to replace a student's lowest lab, quiz or test grade. Students who choose not to participate will forfeit this opportunity.
3) Students may turn in one of the two passes they're given to have their lowest grade dropped (other than project grade).
