Art Club
Visual art is the imagination expressed through the senses. To be creative takes courage, and once the step is made to create- it can become a lifetime adventure of the mind. Students are so involved in the "Testing" process that they need time to express thought, develop projects, and have time to create. The visual arts allow students to become involved in this process personally, for the school, and for the community. We look forward to future art shows, and interacting with the staff, parents, and the community.
We are working with clay portraits or "busts" right now in advanced arts and are excited about the results!! There are a lot of Girr's getting painted on the wall that represent many of our teachers personalities; too cool! The Fine Arts Murals are in the final stages and look AWESOME, Thanks Art Students!!
The Carson Art Department is in need of donated items. Things you may just throw away we may turn into Art; such as: spray paint, primer, house paint, containers, yarn, wood tables (for mosaics), the list is endless!
We also have a growing Art Club that meets Thursdays after school until 4 pm. All students interested in attending may join. We are looking for places to display our works in neighboring businesses and communities- any ideas? Feel free to contact me at the school or through the e-mail system.
