We have an AWESOME Fine Arts Department here at Carson High. Visual Art is only a part of it- so come out and support the Arts and our Students!!

Art Club
Visual art is the imagination expressed through the senses. To be creative takes courage, and once the step is made to create- it can become a lifetime adventure of the mind. Students are so involved in the "Testing" process that they need time to express thought, develop projects, and have time to create. The visual arts allow students to become involved in this process personally, for the school, and for the community. We look forward to future art shows, and interacting with the staff, parents, and the community.
Art 2 & All Upper Classes have a $25 Art Fee.
Art 1 and Art 2 will need the following items: Pencils, 2 Black Pens,
White vinyl erasers, 2 Sharpies, 1 Spiral Bound Notebook, 3 Personal Brushes, 1 Calligraphy Pen, 2 large pieces of poster board, Art 1 will also need 1 Box Colored pencils, 1 Ruler, Kleenex.
The Carson Art Department is in need of donated items. Things you may just throw away we may turn into Art; such as: spray paint, primer, house paint, containers, yarn, wood tables (for mosaics),drop clothes, and white sheets or table-clothes; the list is endless!
The Art Club will meet Sept. and will re-elect new officers. We are always looking for places to display our works in neighboring businesses and communities- any ideas? Jessica Stark has works showing in Salisbury's Coffee Shop, and a former graduate Edwin Riley has sold a painting for $1000, GOOOO Edwin!! Feel free to contact me at the school or through the e-mail system. Congratulations to our Smart Art Department, Ms. Lundgren, and of course my humble self for passing our National Board Certification!!
I want to personally thank the staff at Carson for selecting me as the Teacher of the Year. What an honor as we have a very great staff. I will miss you Senior class!
