Buenos dias a todos,
Second quarter is well underway. We are learning the spanish alphabet in spanish class. Our goal is to be able to spell using the spanish letters, and to be able to pronounce spanish words well. We are now looking at the vowel sounds and syllables.
Soon we will begin learning how to form sentences in spanish, and from there, we will learn how to construct questions.
On Monday, we are going to start with our skits. Pairs of students will prepare skits that highlight a useful expression in spanish. These are common expressions that one hears everyday, such as Dios mio! (My goodness!), Ya voy (I'm coming.), etc. Students generally enjoy the skits very much, and learn much useful language also.
