Parents: Weekly Map Quizzes!!
Each week, we will have a region map quiz to prepare for our large states, capitals, and abbreviations tests. Once taken and graded, they will be sent home to be signed and returned.
This week is the Western Region.
October 17 - US States Test
October 24- US Capitals Test
October 31 - US Abbreviations Test
Please encourage students to review vocabulary for all parts of the Computer Test. These are some of the most frequently missed questions on the test!
Computer Test: November 12-13!!
US Thematic Map Projects are due October 3! Requirements were sent home with a map on September 9. Ask your student about his/her map!
Don't forget to bring required materials to class EVERY DAY!!!
Check your students Viking Sheet for classroom discipline issues
Required Supplies:
1 Five subject notebook (with pockets if possible)
or 1" Binder with loose leaf paper
*Note: Keep binders simple; no zip ups
Pens/pencils (black/blue ink only or pencil)
Highlighters (any color)
Nonrequired Item:
One box of tissues (you may turn in one box of tissue for a free 100% for 1st quarter)
