Welcome to Mr. Overcash's 4th Grade Class
Thank you students and parents for a great open house! It was nice meeting all of you and I'm looking forward to a great year!
Background Information - I graduated Rowan-Cabarrus Community College with an A.A.S. Degree in Criminal Justice in 1998. I worked as a detention officer for the Rowan County Sheriff's Office in 1999. I graduated from U.N.C.C with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education in 2004. I currently work part time as a loss prevention agent at Bass Pro Shops and full time as a 4th Grade Teacher here at Faith Elementary School.
Parents please make sure your child reads 30 minutes each night and has his/her reading log and agenda signed every night! This year's reading theme is "Getting Clued in to Reading."
Parents - Please make sure your child studies his/her multiplication facts AT HOME WITH AN ADULT on a regular basis! They are SO IMPORTANT in this grade level. Repetition, Repetition, Repetition is the key to memorizing them!
Please check your child's agenda for homework assignments. They will be posted each day.
Parents - Thank you for all of your support and dedication for our students!
