The kindergartners will be learning a song to start off the new school year. They will also get to listen to a story called The Music Teacher From The Black Lagoon! Welcome to Morgan, guys!
The first graders will have the chance to share some things with me about their summer. They'll be learning "Good Morning" to sing in music each time they come! The Music Teacher From The Black Lagoon will also be read!
The second grade classes will listen to "Way Down Yonder In The Schoolyard" and learn how to sing it. Pretty soon they will learn the dance that goes along with it. They will finish up their music class with The Music Teacher From The Black Lagoon.
The third graders will be listening to "Movin' To The Music" on their first day of music class. I will teach them how to do the hand jive to accompany the song. Like all the other grades, they will review the rules and consequences also. Music class will conclude with The Music Teacher From The Black Lagoon.
The fourth graders will also learn how to do the hand jive to the "Movin' To The Music" song. Rules and consequences will be discussed and music will be concluded with The Music Teacher From The Black Lagoon!
The fifth graders have a lot to go over on their first day in music. They will become familiar with the activities that will go on in music during their final year of elementary school. We will discuss the NC Symphony Concert, recorders, and Honors Chorus auditions. Welcome back, guys!!
