Thank you for visiting my class website. I really look forward to this time of the year when some of the flowers start to bloom and the weather gets warmer.    I have enjoyed teaching your child and appreciate everything that you do for him/her.  

As we head into the new year, we are on what I call the "down hill stretch."  We are really putting emphasis on memorizing our addition and subtraction facts.  I will start timed tests very soon.  We have started a new computer program called "Math Facts In A Flash."  Please be looking for these printouts in the Thursday folder.  

It is very important that they know how to write a story by put it in sequecial order using the words "first, next, last."  We will start adding details to our stories this month also.

Please keep reading every night.  When your child finishes a book, ask her/him to tell you about it from the beginning to the end.  Parents are doing an excellent job of sitting down with their children and helping them with their homework.

Congratulations to Katelyn Byrd and Brandon Sloop for earning the February Star Students.   They show good character and social skills. This is such a hard decision because I have such a great class!!!!
