Welcome! The fourth quarter is now upon us. This year, it is very important that we work as a team. With the Gateways in May, it is imperative that we work together to be successful. Below is a list that will help your child become more successful as the EOG approaches us at the end of the year:

Math

• Double digit addition with regrouping
• Double digit subtraction with regrouping and across zeros
• Multiplication facts 0-12
• Telling time
• Elapsed time
• Counting money
• Making change
• Graphing-interpreting bar graphs, circle graphs, line graphs, pictographs
• Reading a calendar and schedule
• Reading a thermometer, Fahrenheit and Celcius scales
• Measurement-both customary and metric scales
• Geometry-plane figures, solid figures, polygons, angles, lines, etc.
• Symmetry
• Fractions-Equivalent fractions, comparing fractions, ordering fractions

Language Arts

• Capitalization
• Punctuation
• Reading skills (ie-comprehension)
• Reading fluency
• Reading a variety of material-nonfiction, fiction, fantasy, poems, plays, etc.
• Vocabulary recognition-Use of context clues
