FOURTH QUARTER HAPPENINGS
MRS. MILLER
We are now approaching the end of a wonderful year in first grade. I cannot believe the progress that all of my students have made this year. The first grade team has made lots of exciting plans for the rest of the year. On April 10, we will visit the Salisbury Fire Department and present the money our school collected for the Fallen Firefighters' Fund. We are very proud of our children for doing what they can for the families of the firefighters. On April 22, we will have Earth Day centers, where students will visit other classrooms and the computer lab for learning activities. On May 7, we will have Rocks/Soil Centers in the same way. This will help us get ready for our field trip to Dan Nicholas Park for Gem Mining on May 8. Field Day will be June 6. We will also have ocean centers later. We will celebrate the last day of school at Granite Civic Park for our End of the Year Party and Awards Ceremony on June 10. Wow! It's hard to believe the year is almost over. It's been GREAT!
Watch out for Spring Fever. Sometimes students do not want to do their homework, read, or listen in the classroom at this time of year. Please encourage your child to continue to do his/her best throughout the entire year.
Please come to visit with us at lunch - 11:05. Having parents come to eat always makes a child feel special.
