Exploring Technology is one of the many exploratory classes available to students at Corriher Lipe. This class is available to grades six, seven, and eight. The students will participate in self-paced module workstations. In these modules the students will identify and solve problems in technology through the completion of design, construction, testing, and evaluation activities. Each student will keep records of attendance, test scores, and examples of their work in their assigned portfolio folder. Each module has seven days of activities followed by discovery days for completing unfinished projects and enrichment activities. During the last week of the course, the students will test and evaluate their finished projects, which includes bridge breaking, rocket launching, and co2 car racing (for grades 7 and 8).
The modules in my class include:
Robotics
Research and design
Simple Machines
Rocketry and Space
Electricity
Energy, power and mechanics
CADD
Digital manufacturing
Engineering bridges
Graphic communication
