Our trip to Horizons has been rescheduled for either December 11(Christy's homeroom) or December 12 ( Cummings homeroom).
Christmas break will be December 20-January4. Students return on January 5, 2009.
Poetry Cafe is December 4 for Mrs. Cummings' homeroom and December 5 for Ms. Christy's homeroom. Your child has a handout with directions for writing his poem and objects to bring in. This is a major grade for second quarter.
In social studies we are finishing up our study of World War II and will begin our study of the regions of Europe. An integrated research project about a WWII topic is being carried out in social studies and language arts class. We are reading the novel Letters from Rifka and studying poetry. We are continuing our wordskills booklet and incorporating grammar.
Homework assignments will posted daily on the homework hotline. The number is in your child's organizer. The Jaguar extension is 2603.
