Dear Parents,
Welcome to Mt. Ulla! Mrs. Livengood and I are excited about working with you and your child this year. We both have three children of our own and remember those "first day" jitters. Please know that we will treat your child no differently than our own. We know how fragile young child are and how overwhelming these days are for both you and your child.
We have many activities planned that will enhance your child's knowledge and help him/her become an independent thinker. Each month, your child will bring home a calendar that will keep you updated as to what is going on in the classroom. Please refer to this daily as there are occassions that your child will need to bring a specific item to school that day. Most Moms keep this on the refrigerator so that it is easily accessible.
On the monthly calendar will be a list of words to work on that month. These are called sight words/ word wall words. It is very important that your child
keep up with this monthly. We will be working on these at school each day, but we will also need your help at home.
Communication is important. Please don't hesitate to write any concerns in your child's agenda or if necessary, give me a call. My school line is not working properly.
