WELCOME TO THE PRESCRIPTIVE INSTRUCTION LAB This web page is to keep you informed of what your child is doing in the PI Lab. I am committed to helping your child achieve success in reading, math, and writing. The students are working hard to meet their goal to be on grade level or above. I keep a folder on every child. Please feel free to make an appointment to come by and view your child's folder.
PI Lab News ----We have changed the Compass Lab over to Prescriptive Instruction. This is a new web based and more up to date program. Before they begin, students are given an assessment in Math and Reading. Students are assessed on several objectives in Math and Reading. Does the story remind you of another story, something in your life, or something in the world (making connections)? 6. Why do you think the author chose to write this book? 7. Find a word and ask your child to use context clues to find the meaning. 8. What is the genre (style of writing) of your book? --Every other Friday, my students take turns using the Lightspan program.
