Algebra I is an EOC class!!! In the first 20 days, students who are not working in class, not doing their homework, or not passing the class may be removed from class and have their schedules changed. This could have consequences on your child's graduation! It is very important to stress to your child that they need to put forth their best effort now! A form will be sent home decribing these details either Tuesday or Wednesday. All of my Algebra I students have already been told in class of this school-wide policy
Algebra I Class - We will begin the year with a review of Intro. Algebra topics, including PEMDAS, properties, solving equations and simplifying expressions. The first test is on Friday, August 29.
Discrete Mathematics Class - We will be working on modeling real world situations in Chapter I. In this course it is especially important to read the sections that we are covering.

All Classes - Tutoring
Remember that I am available for tutoring after school each day until 3:00. It's not too early to get help!
When peer tutoring starts up again I will let you know. With peer tutoring the school does provide transportation if needed. These are great ways to get that extra help to make sure you pass your EOC!
