Guidelines for speech impaired have recently changed. There must be proof that your child's speech-language disorder is impacting academic performance. The IEP team will be looking at each student at the time of annual review and looking for proof of academic impact. If you have specific questions feel free to contact me.

  • American Speech and Hearing Association This is a good resource for any questions concerning normal speech-language development as well as descriptions of speech-language disorders.
  • March of Dimes I have been involved with the March of Dimes for many years. Their mission is to prevent birth defects through education and research. Over the years I have worked with students that have communication difficulties due to birth defects.
  • Starfall Good web-site for phonics practice. These are also fun activities.
