The 2008-2009 school year is my second year as a Reading Specialist at Landis. Thank you to each person who helped me become familiar with the Landis learning community when I came on board last year. I am excited to see what this new school year has in store for all of us. I look forward to contacting parents and establishing my schedule ASAP. I will do my best to post parent meetings and other current news on this webpage. Stay tuned for more information.
The 2008-2009 school year marks our second year implementation of a reading program called READING MASTERY also known as DI (DIRECT INSTRUCTION) or CORRECTIVE DECODING has been great.
I look forward to meeting with eligible students and providing them with Title I Math and Reading services.
READING is the fundamental key to success in ANY grade. Encourage your child to read a variety of materials. Some examples include: travel brochures, pamphlets, magazines, poems, store advertisments, newspaper articles, instruction manuals, cookbooks, recipes, movie summaries, and of course oodles of books.
