We are going to send a letter addressing the behaviors that the students struggle with and the consequences, especially not being allowed to go on the two upcoming field trips.
We continue to work on our writing as the writing test is March 4 & 5.
We are reading THE OUTSIDERS as a class and a project packet has been compiled to keep the student's work and all classroom activities. These books can not be taken home and this requires all reading and related activities take place in the classroom. As always we continue to concerntrate on grammar and writing. Point of view / argumenyative is what we will be practicing this week. Monday is the day we create our graphic organizers and do our rough draft. Sometimes the students will bring it home to complete. There are not longer spelling activities because we are in the new program WodkSkills that teaches Latin roots that help us figure out the meanings of unfamiliar words.
Our topic for our writing activity this week is directly related to the novel we are currently reading.
Remember Report Cards went home today with all students that had no failing grades. If your child did not bring home his card please call the office to get your copy.
