Homework

Every student should bring home a reading journal every night! Please read with your child, sign the journal, and send it back daily so we can continue their reading adventures!
Tuesday's homework is generally a phonics worksheet on our letter of the week. Thursday's homework is generally a math assignment or "popcorn word" book. Again, check the calendar for specific weekly assignments.
Please check your child's black and white homework folder nightly for assignments and notes!
Wow! This year has flown by, but the last 2 weeks of school will be busy! Please remind your children that they are still in school and have a lot of learning left to do in order to be ready for next year. They are expected to continue following all of Overton’s and our classroom rules up through the last day of school.
Your children have worked very hard this year! While AR points are no longer accumulating, and they can no longer check out books from the school library, I encourage you to take your child to the public library. In helping your child to keep an interest in reading, you are also helping them to be more successful in all areas of their future!
