Welcome back to school!

August 21st, 2008-Open House: 2pm-6pm. First quarter syllabus will be given out. Schedules and bus information will be provided. The first day of school is August 25th. There are many exciting changes happening at Knox Middle School! We have a new principal, Mr. MoragneEL, and a new assistant principal, Mr. Snider. Mr. Snider is the 7th grade academy principal. He is centrally located in the 7th grade building, making him easily available to both teachers and students.

Homework will be assigned 4 days a week. It may be vocabulary work or a short writing assignment. It will be included as part of the participation grade.

Students will be given a variety of assignments, and must learn to work successfully in groups. They are graded on classroom assignments, participation, and projects.

7th grade planning is from 10:16-11:40 am.

Please encourage students to complete all work promptly. Students need to enter the classroom quietly and begin work quickly. They also need to remember to keep quiet voices when they are working in partners and in groups.
