Well students, parents and friends, the new adventure begins. One more time for "another day in Paradise" hopefully I can contribute something. I'll miss all of you, but duty and "a nickel" calls. Physical Science Classes - Wecome to an introduction course in Physics and Chemistry. We'll be looking at how the Laws of Physics and Chemistry are applied in everyday life and into the 21st Century. We will concentrate on the inquiry based learning style. To maximize our learning potential many hands on activities will be used. This requires both student and parent cooperation. There will be a Physical Science textbook assigned. Homework will be reading assignment based or individual assignments and worksheets. Most low grades are normally due to not completing assignments and turning them in. Check with me to see if your missing assignments so you can get back on track.
Evironmental/Earth Classes- Let's look at the Earth and the environment around us and our interaction with it. We will concentrate on the inquiry based learning style. To maximize our learning potential many hands on activities will be used. This requires both student and parent cooperation. A textbook has been issued. Reading assigments will be assigned as will homework. Most low grades are normally due to not completing assignments and turning them in. Check with me to see if your missing assignments so you can get back on track.Some still owe lab fees. All students recieved midterms. Some have not returned theirs yet. Text books must be turned in prior to beginning of final exam.
Report Cards will be held until Lab Fees are paid. Many students have yet to pay.
Research Projects/Presentations will be assigned during this course. The projects are again worth 20% of your grade. Make sure to make the effort to do a good job on each of them! This should be the area that you concentrate on because you control it and have time to do it for home work when not assigned additional HW.
