Dear Parents, Our
students have the opportunity to use a computer program called
Prescriptive Learning at school and at home. Prescriptive Learning is
an intervention and remediation tool. It enables teachers to assess
students, and then automatically provide differentiated instruction to
students of varying ability and aptitude levels. It improves reading
and mathematic skills by using tutorials, practice exercises, and
graded activities that allow students to learn at their own pace.
Please use the link below titled "Prescriptive Learning" to help your
child become a stronger learner. Make sure to include the following
information when you go to the website: school name: dole student's name: (Each child knows their sign on name.) student's password: (Each child knows their password.)
Homework will be sent home on every Monday and should be returned on or before Thursday morning of the same week. Students will receive a reading book, math worksheet and spelling assignment every Monday.
Weekly Reading Homework: Reading books will be sent home in a red folder on Mondays. Please have your child read their assigned book. I have included a sheet that contains sample questions for you to ask your child to help them become stronger readers. Please make sure to sign the paper located in the folder that states your child has read the book.
