Agendas
Please check your child's agenda daily for classroom information and daily behavior. Be sure to check the agenda pocket as well, for any special
notes or homework that may come home. Praise your child for their green or blue dot in the agenda each day. A yellow dot in the agenda means your child received a warning about following rules. A red dot mean your child had difficulty following the rules and had to be reminded of the rules several times. A purple dot means your child was severely disruptive and you may receive a phone call or a note home.
We have a new behavior program, P.B.S. (Positive Behavior Support) that focuses on encouraging positive behavior at school. Your child will earn a green paw stamp in the agenda for following classroom rules. Paw stamps can be earned for returning homework, being a good bus rider, from specialist and other staff members, when a child displays positive behavior. For each 12 paw stamps earned in the agenda, your child will receive a paw tag to wear on a necklace. Students can wear their necklace every Friday to show how many tags they have earned!
Each quarter there will be a special program for your child to attend, if he/she has met the quarterly paw tag goal. During the third quarter, your child will need 7 paw tags to attend the special program.
Please check your child's agenda each day for paw stamps. It would be helpful to remind your child of our rules and the importance of following them each day.
Thursday Folders
Folders will come home each Thursday with your child's work from the
previous week. Please go over the work with you child and keep it at
home to review. We will also send notes from the classroom, office and
PTA to keep you informed of events happening at school. Please read
these and send back only the items that need your reply.
